Why do we invent & sustain difference?
The beautiful bearded figure in the picture is housed in the de Young museum in San Francisco. This Dogon or Pre-Dogon carving has breasts and a penis! It is thought to reflect cultural ideals of balance and duality in nature. It possibly represents an ancestor or communication between heaven & earth.
