Hmmm...I've been kind of operating from the opposite end of the spectrum--keeping things largely to myself--and maybe a small circle of friends (always good to talk with you, f'rinstance, Brooks)--though not sure if it's a matter of privacy or simply that things are a little too raw, unformed...which, I guess might be just another way of saying "personal" since, even if I'm willing to share my thoughts and feelings, they need to be in at least a semi-solid state, somewhat in my control, before I can try to be funny or poetic and throw them out to the wide world...or something...
Interesting thoughts, as always. I'm one who tends to be ultra-private . . . protecting, hiding, trying to figure things out in private. An ultra-introvert.
I admire, Meredith's comment and yet feel misunderstood. The world is full of extroverts pouring it all out for the world to see. I appreciate their openness and wish I had more, but don't think it means I lack strength when I don't talk. It's just a different choice. One that I can honor for myself and respect myself and be strong even when I'm quiet (or keeping something private).
Thank you for commenting! Please make sure it is responding to something in the post, rather than a general question that is unrelated to the topic at hand. XO -Brooks
Insecurities become strengths when revealed...
